With long-awaited Russia's accidence to the World Trade Organization the future of jewellery branch in Russia became especially actual question for many participants of the jewellery market: whether it will be possible to survive after cancellation of protecting duties when already now the market is overfull by production from South East Asia.
Participation in jewellery exhibitions JA New York 2012 in New York, Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2012 in Hong Kong for two Russian companies "Art Yuvelir " (Rostov-on-Don) and "Jewellery House" (Ekaterinburg) became the answer to this question. The participation in the main world exhibitions is already serious step because all leading manufacturers of jewelry are presented there.
The competition on the market of jewelry is very high that is why to take a worthy position, it is necessary to assert you in any new projects. Such novelty of the Russian manufacturers was palladium - precious metal from platinoid family. Jewelry consumers have not too large choice of white color - silver and white gold which for giving of white color to it "dilute" with any noble or ignoble metal, and also with platinum and palladium which frequently are used for giving of white color to gold.
Now manufacturers consider palladium usage very perspective as the growing prices for gold practically don't give it chances of mass demand. Palladium wins in durability, resistance to scratches and attritions. And, at last, cost of products from palladium is considerably lower than analogs from platinum and gold.
The collections presented by the Russian companies at exhibitions mutually complement each other. "Art Yuvelir "has made the basic accent on daily jewelry, including wedding rings of palladium and gold. Collections of Jewellery House - the expert in design jewelry, were represented by products with enamel and with precious and semiprecious stones.
Such variety attracted attention of exhibitions visitors. Acceptance of the companies to the American jewelers Guild (JA) became an indicator of Russian jewelers’ recognition. Not smaller interest the mark "Made in Russia" has aroused at the Hong Kong exhibition. Invitations for participation from organizers of a similar exhibition in Tokyo in 2013 have been made. During the work of exhibitions the arrangements with the companies which will represent jewelry with a mark "Made in Russia" worldwide were reached.
And nevertheless the main result of participation in exhibitions was that the domestic companies have made the first and very essential steps for promotion on the world markets. Self-confidence has strengthened, in addition to the pride for the company.
